Built Around Your Exact Problem. Not a Template.
We design and build custom platforms, internal tools, workflow engines, and integrations for businesses that have no off-the-shelf option. Clean specification, documented code, tested thoroughly, and handed over with confidence.
When standard services do not cover your requirement.
Some of the most impactful work we do involves building things that have no off-the-shelf equivalent. Not a Shopify app, not a WordPress plugin, not a SaaS starter kit. A system designed from scratch around a specific business problem, a specific data model, and a specific set of users.
We bring the same engineering standards to bespoke work as to any product build. Clear specification, milestone-based delivery, code reviews throughout, and a handover that leaves your team in control.
What every bespoke project ships with
Six categories of bespoke work we deliver.
If it has no off-the-shelf solution, we scope it, spec it, build it, and hand it over documented.
Internal Platforms and Admin Tools
Custom dashboards, back-office platforms, and ops tooling that replaces slow spreadsheets or disconnected SaaS subscriptions. Role-based access, audit trails, and built for your exact team workflows.
Workflow and Process Automation
Trigger-based automation connecting your tools, eliminating manual steps, and enforcing your business logic consistently. From simple approval chains to complex multi-system orchestration.
Custom Reporting and Dashboards
Data visualisation platforms pulling from your existing systems. Client-facing reporting portals, white-label analytics, and executive dashboards with scheduled delivery and PDF export.
Third-party API Integrations
Production-grade integrations connecting your platform to ERP, CRM, payment gateways, logistics providers, and custom data sources. Built with retry logic, error logging, and monitoring from day one.
Legacy Re-platforming
Structured migrations off legacy systems to modern stacks. We audit the existing codebase, map data models, plan the cutover, and deliver in phases to minimise operational disruption.
Client and Partner Portals
Secure portals for clients, suppliers, or franchise partners. Document sharing, task management, status tracking, and communication tools built into a single authenticated environment.
Structured to match your situation.
Bespoke work varies enormously in scale. We structure every engagement to match the scope and reduce risk at each stage.
Discovery and spec only
Not ready to commit to a full build? We offer a standalone discovery engagement producing a written technical specification, architecture diagram, and cost estimate your team can act on — with us or independently.
Fixed-scope build
A defined deliverable at a fixed price. Ideal when requirements are clear, timelines are set, and you need cost certainty. We produce the spec, agree the scope, then build to it with milestone checkpoints.
Ongoing retainer
For teams that need continuous bespoke development — new features, evolving integrations, platform maintenance, and priority support. A dedicated monthly allocation with predictable cost and consistent context.
From brief to handover — no ambiguity at any stage.
Every bespoke engagement follows this process regardless of size. The spec exists before the build starts. The build runs in milestones. The handover is complete.
Scoping session
We map your requirement, users, data flows, integrations, constraints, and definition of done. We ask the questions most teams forget to answer upfront.
Written specification
A technical specification document you own. Every feature, data model, API endpoint, role, and edge case written down and agreed before build begins.
Milestone build
Development in stages with a staging environment, code reviews, and a client checkpoint at each milestone. You see progress; we catch issues early.
Testing and QA
Unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests against the spec. Load tested where relevant. All third-party integrations tested against live and sandbox APIs.
Handover and support
Full documentation, a knowledge transfer session, and a post-launch support window as standard. You own the code and the system from day one.
We choose the right tool for the problem — not the fashionable one.

Common questions about bespoke work.
Have a question that is not here? Send it through the contact form and we will reply with a direct answer.
Start a conversationThis is common. We offer a standalone discovery and specification engagement before any build commitment. We run structured workshops to surface requirements, identify gaps, and produce a written technical spec. You own the spec document regardless of whether we build it or you take it elsewhere.
Fixed-scope work is priced against a written specification. We do not price from a brief — the spec is the pricing document. For evolving or exploratory work, we use a time-and-materials model with agreed weekly or monthly caps. We give you a rough range before starting the spec so you know whether the budget is in the right territory.
Yes. Full IP assignment is standard on all bespoke work. You own the code, the documentation, and all related assets upon final payment. We retain no licence rights. If you want an NDA before we discuss your project, we sign one first — just mention it in your initial message.
Yes. We are used to working as an extension of existing engineering teams. We fit into your Git workflow, attend your stand-ups where useful, and write code that your team can own and extend. We document decisions and avoid patterns that create dependency on us.
Scope changes happen. We handle them with a formal change request — a short written document describing the change, the impact on timeline, and the cost adjustment. Nothing moves without your written approval. This protects both sides and keeps the project honest.
We do not have a strict minimum, but bespoke work tends to start at around two to three weeks of development time to be worth the specification and setup overhead. Very small tasks — a single API endpoint, a bug fix, a minor integration — are better handled under a retainer or support arrangement than a bespoke engagement.
